Drawing with Watercolour and Mixed media

A$190.00

Date: Sunday July 19th 9.30-3.30pm

Location: The NEST Creative Space, 24A Bourke Road, Alexandria, NSW 2015

Love mixed media or longing to try? Come for a day of drawing with watercolour, gouache, ink, pens, pencils, charcoal, pastels and more. Through structured exercises, you will try a variety of techniques and discover how different media can be combined, including wet and dry methods and collage.

We will compare the different qualities of each medium, experimenting with physical description and expressive effects.

With a focus on composition, texture and colour, subjects will include still life and the landscape in and around the studio. Students will work from observation and imagination.

Students will create several small studies and complete at least one more developed piece.

This workshop suits both beginners to painting/mixed media and more experienced artists.
